Cairnpost
01 — About

About Cairnpost

A Regina news website and podcast, reporting on southern Saskatchewan and selling its own advertising directly to the businesses it covers.

02 — Who we are

Who we are

Cairnpost began publishing in 2019 as a weekday newsletter, and added the Trailhead podcast two years later once the newsletter had a steady weekday rhythm. Today the two run alongside a set of local news pages, all produced by the same small team.

Cairnpost is operated by HARVARD BROADCASTING INC., which holds the registration and handles the business side of the operation; the newsroom itself sets the editorial line independently, and advertising never determines what we choose to cover.

We are based in Regina and built the publication to cover the city and the towns around it rather than compete with national outlets for national stories.

03 — What we do

What we do

Cairnpost publishes local news on our website, a weekday newsletter, and a weekly podcast, and sells three advertising placements across those three formats.

06 — How we work

How we work

Approach

We report locally first, cover fewer stories more completely, and keep sponsor content clearly labelled.

Quality control

Every sponsor note or script passes through the editor before it publishes or airs.

Communication

One coordinator manages your booking from enquiry through to the wrap report.

07 — Common questions

A few common questions

Is Cairnpost independent from its advertisers?

Yes. Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom, separately from advertising sales, and sponsor content is always labelled as such.

Do you cover towns outside Regina?

Yes, our community correspondent regularly files from Moose Jaw and the Qu’Appelle Valley.

How do I book advertising?

Use the contact form on our home page or call during office hours; see our FAQ page for the full process.

08 — What we don't do

What we don’t do

We don’t run advertising that reads as news, sell placements outside the three listed above, or promise a particular business outcome from any placement. We also don’t publish audience or subscriber figures — only the format, run length and price of each placement.
